Sustainability
Our materiality assessment has indicated our key impacts to sustainability comprises of the following.
Single-Use Plastic
As medical-grade singe-use testing products, all our test kits requires the use of high-grade
plastics, ranging from plastic cassettes for our rapid test kits to urine cups for drug testing.
Annually, our business generates large amounts of single-use plastic waste contaminated with
biological samples such as urine, saliva and blood. Currently we are making assessment of the
impact of single-use plastic from our products
Electricity Use
The handling and storage
of temperature-sensitive biological reagents in our production and testing line requires the use
of freezers running as low as 200 °C.
Managing and reducing our electricity use as well as fugitive release of refrigerants are
also an important aspects of ensuring minimal impacts
to the environment.
Biohazard Disposal
As an ISO13485 production facility, our quality control and assurance operations uses biological
samples and reagents that needs to be properly managed and disposed off in a safe manner.
All our biological wastes are safely collected, marked and disposed off to a proper
biohazard waste management facility.
Employees Health & Safety
As company with 30-year history, we pride in providing long-term employment to our employees
with zero foreign workers. Some of our local workers has been with us
for as long as 15-20 years.
This motivates us to give emphasis on their health and safety concerns. Some measures we
have implemented including blood test as health check for our employees as well as appointing a
certified HSE officer to oversee this area.
